Because it is a space station, the only vehicle capable to navigate space is the [[Arwing]], and thus all the other characters will be aiding [[Fox]] in the same throughout the level. The final obstacle between the Star Fox Team and Venom is the mechanical fiend, [[Gorgon]]. Using a wide array of attacks, including the summoning of energy balls, disappearing and reappearing, charging energy, and unleashing a heavily damaging beam, this boss keeps the Arwing motile throughout the entire battle. The boss' weakness is it's core, which it only exposes upon taking enough damage. Fox will earn a "Hit +10" for defeating Gorgon, and gain access to Venom below.

Despite throwing everything at the Star Fox team, Venomian forces were unable to stop them. Throughout this mission, Fox and his team summon the Star Fox mothership, the [[Great Fox]], to help fight the Venomian ships. In a last bid to stop Star Fox they deployed the [[Gorgon]], hoping it would destroy them for good. Fox and his team managed to destroy the Gorgon and procede to Venom.
