::Well, considering the people who run the wiki (See [[:Category:Administrators]]) have deiced to close the wiki, and no objected, I see no problem with it. However, as a comprimise, i will change my request from "a note asking people to stop making edits" to "a note recommending people to stop making edits, similar to what [http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page smash wiki] has done".
