Type

Files come in a variety of types, and get used in many different situations.

Each type has an idea situation and each situation has an ideal type. Please upload files according to these rules.

Animations: Animations should be uploaded in a .gif file format. They should not be a distraction, and should not cost too much time on the clients computer (Browser or CPU).
Screen Shots: Screen shots should be .jpg file type. They should be taken with the good quality screen shot software, and cropped down to only the actual screen shot is visible and nothing from the computer it was taken on is seen.
Box Art: Box Art should be done in jpg or png. At best, we should see everything there was on the original box, but nothing surrounding it.

Also note:

File extensions for images are to be in lowercase and not capitalized. (.jpg not .JPG)

All images should be tagged with the proper image templates which identify the source and content of the image.
